First Post: The Prince of Darkness, Westworld, and Green Arrow.

I've got a few things to address today. First up, my debut film for the studio has been announced. It will be a remake of 'John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness.' I feel that the original had a good idea but it was poorly executed. I fear that my version will fall into some of the same traps as the original, and if Harry Stark will allow it, I would really like to do a quick polish on the script to make it better and to make it a little more different from the original. And say what you will about Scott Derrickson's filmography, his movies look great. His remake of 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' wasn't very good at all, but the overall look of the movie is amazing. 'The Prince of Darkness' is a little more about mood than story and I think he's a good choice for those type of movies. Now cast announced yet, but if everyone accepts the roles written for them, it will be a rather competent cast for a horror remake. Once more information is released by the studio expect comments from me on all of my decisions, regarding this project along with future projects.

Next up, it is mentioned that I am interested in a remake/revamp of 'Westworld.' I would like to go ahead and announce that at this moment I am no longer pursuing it. I hit some snags trying to explain the technological breakdown of the park in a modern fashion. The biggest snag was trying to explain away cell phones in a logical fashion, and eventually I just lost my taste for the project.

It has also been previously announced that I have written a script for a Green Arrow movie, but I can't really speak about that right now, other than that it won't quite be a traditional superhero movie. I don't expect to see it until the end of Season 17 or the beginning of Season 18, but if it does well, fully expect a franchise.

At this point that is all that I am at liberty to discuss, seeing as I don't want to get in any trouble with the boss.
